Strategy Guide
Playing As
- You know a player is definitely good; establish trust with them privately, but be wary of revealing the connection publicly to avoid giving the Demon a double kill.
- If your Grandchild dies at night but you survive, you gain powerful information that the death was not caused by the Demon (e.g., Assassin, Gossip, or Gambit).
- Coordinate with protective characters to keep your Grandchild safe, as your life depends on theirs.
- Use your knowledge to catch liars; if someone else claims your Grandchild's character, you know they are evil.
- Consider bluffing a different character to the group to prevent the Demon from realizing you are the Grandmother.
Playing Against
- If you are the Demon, identify the Grandchild to score a 'two-for-one' kill at night.
- Bluff as the Grandmother to 'confirm' a Minion teammate as a specific good character, building a false trust chain.
- Be aware that killing the Grandmother directly is often less efficient than killing the Grandchild.
- Minions can claim to be the Grandchild to a bluffing Grandmother to solidify a false narrative.
Interactions
Can protect the Grandchild from the Demon, ensuring the Grandmother survives as well.
ProfessorCan resurrect the Grandchild (or Grandmother), potentially restoring the information chain.
Gossip/Assassin/MoonchildIf the Grandchild dies to these abilities, the Grandmother does not die, distinguishing the death source from a Demon kill.
SailorIf the Sailor is the Grandchild, their drunkenness or survival ability can create interesting confirmation scenarios regarding the Grandmother's survival.
TinkerIf a Tinker Grandchild dies 'naturally' via their ability, the Grandmother survives, confirming the cause of death was not the Demon.
