Gunslinger
A Traveler who adds an extra death mechanic during the day by shooting a voter on the first nomination. This power can bypass execution restrictions but requires the town's trust to remain in play.
Ability
Each day, after the 1st vote has been tallied, you may choose a player that voted: they die.
Strategy Guide
Playing As
- As a good Gunslinger, build trust by following the town's consensus on who to shoot, essentially granting the good team an extra kill per day.
- As an evil Gunslinger, gain trust early by killing suspected minions or safe targets, then eliminate a powerful Townsfolk (like the Fortune Teller) at a critical moment.
- Pay close attention to who refuses to vote on the first nomination; fear of your gun often reveals the Demon or high-value targets.
- You can choose not to use your ability if the town is uncertain, or shoot yourself to prove you are prioritizing the town's safety.
Playing Against
- Be extremely careful voting on the first nomination of the day, as you become a valid target for the Gunslinger.
- The Demon often avoids voting on the first nomination to prevent being shot; watch for this pattern.
- If the Gunslinger is suspected of being evil or shoots a trusted player, organize an Exile vote immediately.
- Coordinate the first nomination to be on a safe target (like the Saint) or a suspect the town is willing to lose.
Interactions
The Gunslinger is a hard counter to the Saint, as shooting them causes death without triggering the Saint's game-ending execution condition.
UndertakerDeaths caused by the Gunslinger are not executions, so the Undertaker does not learn the alignment of the victim; prioritize shooting players who don't need confirmation.
Scarlet WomanAn evil Gunslinger can shoot the Imp to safely trigger a star-pass to the Scarlet Woman if the Imp is under suspicion.
SpyCan signal an evil Gunslinger regarding high-value targets to shoot or avoid.
