Pukka
A Demon that acts on the first night to poison a victim, killing them the following night after befuddling their information. They effectively counter survival roles but kill slowly, often requiring Minion assistance to mask their identity.

Strategy Guide
Playing As
- Target information roles to confuse the town; they will receive false info the night you pick them and the following day before dying.
- Prioritize targets who are unlikely to be executed the next day, as an executed target results in no night death.
- Bluff characters that wake on the first night (like Sailor or Courtier) to hide from the Chambermaid.
- Use 'no death' nights or missed kills to bluff as a Zombuul, buying time for the evil team.
- Target players with survival abilities like the Fool or Sailor, as your poison strips their immunity before the kill occurs.
Playing Against
- Track information backtracking; if a player dies, assume their information from the previous day and night was false due to poison.
- Look for patterns of 'delayed' deaths or players like the Fool and Sailor dying at night, which indicates Pukka over other Demons.
- If you suspect a specific player is currently poisoned, executing them denies the Pukka a death that night, effectively 'saving' someone else.
- Pay attention to the Chambermaid, as the Pukka is the only Demon in Bad Moon Rising that wakes on the first night.
- Identify 'no death' nights caused by the Pukka's target being executed during the day.
Interactions
Can provide extra kills to mask the Pukka's slow kill rate or simulate a Po charge.
Sailor/FoolPukka hard-counters these characters by poisoning away their immunity before the death effect triggers.
ChambermaidThe Pukka must be wary of the Chambermaid, who can detect them waking on the first night.
ExorcistIf the Exorcist blocks the Pukka, the previously poisoned player still dies, but the Pukka cannot select a new victim for the next night.
