Virgin

TownsfolkTrouble Brewing

The Virgin allows for hard confirmation of two players' alignments by sacrificing a Townsfolk nominator to an immediate execution. This creates a powerful 'trust core' for the good team but consumes the day's execution and a player's life.

Ability

The 1st time you are nominated, if the nominator is a Townsfolk, they are executed immediately.

Strategy Guide

Playing As

  • Coordinate with a 'spent' Townsfolk (like a Chef or Investigator) to nominate you; if they die, you are both confirmed as Townsfolk.
  • If the ability fails, analyze the cause: either you are Drunk/Poisoned, or the nominator is an Outsider, Minion, or Demon.
  • Once confirmed, use your status as a proven good player to coordinate the town's information and direct strategies.
  • You can nominate yourself to trigger your ability; if you die, you are confirmed, though you lose the benefit of confirming a second player.
  • Be wary of double-claiming or hiding too long, as a failed nomination can look suspicious if the town doesn't know you are the Virgin.

Playing Against

  • Minions can intentionally nominate the Virgin to make the ability fail, casting doubt on the Virgin's legitimacy or implying the presence of a Drunk.
  • The Spy can nominate the Virgin and successfully trigger the ability, falsely confirming themselves as a good Townsfolk.
  • Demons may choose to leave a confirmed Virgin alive, as they have no ongoing information gathering ability, wasting a 'trusted' slot.
  • Bluffing as the Virgin can act as a trap for the real Virgin or cause the town to waste executions resolving the conflict.
