Strategy Guide

Playing As

  • Delay revealing your number to prevent the evil team from adjusting their social play or coordinating bluffs.
  • Map out all possible pairs of players separated by your number; if you identify one evil player, the other end of the pair is likely the Demon.
  • A '1' indicates the Demon is seated directly next to a Minion, which is vital for identifying a No Dashii who might skip a neighbor when poisoning.
  • In a Vortox game, your information is false; use this to eliminate the specific distance you learned from your suspect list.
  • Consider the 'Day 1 Execution' meta carefully; while it satisfies a Vortox check, keeping your information secret is often more powerful long-term.

Playing Against

  • Bluffing as Clockmaker is risky because the evil team knows the true distance and can easily spot a lie.
  • If the Clockmaker reveals their number, try to frame good players who sit at that specific distance from each other.
  • In a Vortox game, giving the true number as a bluff will immediately out you as evil to the evil team.
  • As a Minion, avoid whispering to or coordinating publicly with the Demon if the Clockmaker number is known to prevent confirming the pair.
