Strategy Guide

Playing As

  • Your main win condition is surviving to the final three and convincing the town to tie the vote (no execution).
  • You can bait the Demon into attacking you by bluffing as a high-priority target (like Slayer or Fortune Teller), relying on your bounce ability to survive.
  • It is critical to verify you are not the Drunk or Poisoned by checking Outsider counts and talking to information roles before the final day.
  • Building trust is essential; consider revealing to a confirmation role (like a Washerwoman) early, but beware of exposing yourself to a Poisoner.

Playing Against

  • Be cautious attacking players who might be the Mayor, as the kill could 'bounce' to a Minion, a protected player, or even the Demon themselves.
  • The Poisoner is the Mayor's hardest counter; ensure the Mayor is poisoned on the final day to prevent their auto-win condition.
  • Minions can effectively bluff as the Mayor to cast doubt on the real Mayor or to convince the town to sleep on the final day.
  • If the Mayor is trusted, the Evil team must kill them before the final three players to avoid an unwinnable final day.
