"Show a Townsfolk token and two players."
Strategy Guide
Playing As
- Speak privately to the two players you were shown; offer them a choice of three characters (one being the true one) to verify their identity without giving away your information to an evil player.
- Establish a chain of trust by confirming a powerful information role like the Empath, Undertaker, or Fortune Teller, making their information much more valuable to the town.
- Consider protecting the player you confirmed by lying to the group about their identity or bluffing as a high-priority target yourself to draw the Demon's attacks.
- If both players deny being the Townsfolk you saw, consider that you might be the Drunk, poisoned, or that one of them is the Spy.
- You can nominate the Virgin to confirm yourself, the Virgin, and the Townsfolk you saw all at once, proving three players are good.
Playing Against
- If you are the Spy, you might register as the Townsfolk the Washerwoman sees; play along to infiltrate the good team's trust chain.
- As the Imp, try to identify who the Washerwoman has confirmed; that player is likely a powerful Townsfolk who should be killed immediately.
- If bluffing as the Washerwoman, confirm a fellow evil player as a Townsfolk to build false trust, or point to a good player and an evil player to confuse the good team.
- Discredit a Washerwoman's information by suggesting they are the Drunk or were poisoned by a Poisoner on the first night.
- Be careful bluffing as a specific Townsfolk if a Washerwoman is in play, as they may have information contradicting your claim.
