Strategy Guide

Playing As

  • Your goal is to be killed by the Demon, so bluff as a high-value target like the Flowergirl, Savant, or Juggler to draw aggro.
  • If you die and get information, share it immediately (unless you suspect a Vortox) to ensure the town has time to execute the suspects.
  • You can reveal yourself publicly to create a dilemma for the Demon: kill you and give you info, or let you live and confirm you as a trusted player.
  • Be wary of the No Dashii or Vortox; if your information points to impossible candidates or known good players, you may be receiving false info.
  • If you die at night but do not wake up to learn info, you know you were likely killed by a Minion (like a Pit-Hag) rather than the Demon.

Playing Against

  • Avoid killing the Sage at night; try to get them executed during the day or leave them alive to cast doubt on their alignment.
  • Use the Pit-Hag to kill the Sage arbitrarily, as this does not count as a 'Demon' kill and prevents their ability from triggering.
  • In a Vortox game, feel free to kill the Sage, as they will learn two players who are NOT the Demon, potentially misleading the good team.
  • Use a Cerenovus to make the Sage mad, preventing them from sharing their information clearly or risking execution if they do.
  • If the Sage comes out publicly, leave them alive to make the town suspicious of why the Demon hasn't eliminated such a threat.
