Other Nights

"The Pit-Hag points to a player and a character on the sheet. If this character is not in play, wake that player and show them the YOU ARE card and the relevant character token. If the character is in play, nothing happens."

Strategy Guide

Playing As

  • Target powerful information roles (like the Dreamer or Flowergirl) and turn them into Outsiders or useless characters to neutralize them.
  • Coordinate with your Demon to ensure you don't transform a player they intend to kill, or conversely, to create a Barber right before they die.
  • Create a new Demon if your current Demon is under suspicion, effectively resetting the good team's hunt.
  • Turn yourself or fellow Minions into other Minions (like a Witch or Cerenovus) later in the game to utilize fresh abilities.
  • Transform players into the Snake Charmer or an Outsider to facilitate a Demon jump (Fang Gu) or a Demon swap.

Playing Against

  • If your character is changed, announce it immediately to the town to confirm a Pit-Hag is in play.
  • Watch for nights with 0 or 2 deaths, as this often signals that a new Demon has been created or the Demon type has changed.
  • If you are turned into an evil-aligned character (like a Witch or Demon), remember your alignment remains Good; use your new power to help the Good team.
  • Be skeptical of players claiming to have been Pit-Hagged, as evil players often use this as a bluff to explain changing stories.
