Strategy Guide
Playing As
- Your primary goal is to stay alive; your death permanently hurts the good team by neutralizing a player's ability.
- Bluff as a character the Demon does not want to kill, such as the Sage, or a 'spent' role like the Artist or Juggler.
- If you are killed, reveal your character immediately so the town knows to account for a hidden Drunk in their logic.
- In a Fang Gu game, conceal your Outsider status to prevent the Demon from jumping to you and turning you evil.
- If you suspect a Vortox is in play, your death is less damaging (since info is already false), so you can sacrifice yourself to save a Townsfolk.
Playing Against
- Evil players should aim to kill the Sweetheart early to introduce a permanent Drunk into the town, disrupting information.
- As a Minion like the Witch or Cerenovus, force the Sweetheart's execution to trigger their ability if the Demon cannot kill them at night.
- In a Fang Gu game, the Demon may keep the Sweetheart alive to use as a body-jump target later, so a living Sweetheart might indicate a Fang Gu.
- Evil players can bluff as the Sweetheart and 'die' to discredit valid information from good players by claiming a Drunk is now in play.
- Good players must immediately attempt to deduce who the Drunk is after the Sweetheart dies to filter out false data.
Interactions
Can 'jump' to the Sweetheart, turning them evil and killing the original body, which simultaneously triggers the Sweetheart's drunkenness ability.
MathematicianCan detect the newly created Drunk if that player's ability malfunctions and yields false information.
VortoxMakes the Sweetheart's penalty less severe, as town information is already false, blending the Drunk effect into the existing chaos.
Oracle / Flowergirl / Town CrierThese powerful persistent information roles are high-priority targets for the Storyteller to make drunk once the Sweetheart dies.
Pit-HagCan create a Sweetheart mid-game or turn a dying player into a Sweetheart to intentionally trigger the drunkenness.
