Night Ritual (Storyteller Instructions)
Other Nights
"Give a 'yes' or 'no' for if a Minion nominated today."
Strategy Guide
Playing As
- Take meticulous notes on exactly who nominated each day to correlate with your nightly information.
- Curate the number of nominations; getting 1-3 nominations makes a 'Yes' actionable, while a 'No' clears specific players.
- Use your ability to solve an Evil Twin pair by asking only one twin to nominate and checking the result.
- If you receive a 'No', you can trust those nominators are not Minions (assuming no Vortox), helping build a trust circle.
- Be wary of the Witch; asking for too many nominations might lead to accidental deaths if the Witch curses a nominee.
Playing Against
- Minions can obfuscate information by refusing to nominate or having the Demon nominate instead.
- Bluffing as the Town Crier allows evil players to 'clear' their teammates or frame good players as Minions.
- In an Evil Twin game, the evil team can claim Town Crier to accuse the good twin of registering as a Minion.
- The Witch can take advantage of a Town Crier asking for nominations to kill specific good players.
Interactions
Both characters rely on tracking day-phase actions (nominations and voting), providing complementary data to pinpoint evil.
Evil TwinThe Town Crier is a hard counter, capable of determining the evil twin if nominations are isolated.
VortoxThis Demon falsifies information, reversing the Town Crier's 'Yes' and 'No' signals, which must be tested for.
WitchThe Witch punishes nominations, making it risky for the Town Crier to demand players nominate for information.
OracleCross-referencing dead players with nomination history can help confirm if a dead nominee was a Minion.
